Why are Web3 startups so prevalent?

In order to "assess which sectors of innovation are attracting VCs' interest," Pitchbook this week released its most recent Emerging Tech Indicator (ETI) report, which tracks early stage investment activity among the world's most renowned venture capital firms. According to the ETI study, Web3 got approximately $900 million in VC funding in Q3, which was the most of any sector. That surpasses dozens of other well-established areas like financial, biotech, security, e-commerce, gaming, and others.

Web3 has previously come out on top of the ETI report, not only in Q3. In fact, Web3 has been in first place in the ETI rankings for the last five quarters. ETI capital has invested more than $6.5 billion in Web3 over the previous 12 months, which is more substantial.
