Description:
Difference Between SMO and SMM are separate and at the same time related show within digital marketing. The role of SMO among other things is maximizing a web page's value and sharing across social media networks.
It comprises enhancing the design, content, and user interaction on a site to develop more positive engagement with the visitors, who will generally share the content and direct traffic to the site organically from the social sphere. Accordingly, involving paid advertisement and having a digital presence via your social media platforms represent ‘SMM’, which is the method of marketing a brand and disseminating its content on the internet.
The role of SMM is to heighten brand visibility, produce web traffic, and build leads via banner adverts, interesting content posts, and active interoperation with the target audience. SMO is all about having a website that is not overburdened by social media distractions but an evolution of website features to exploit social media as much as possible organically whereas SMM engages with the social media audience through the smartly placed strategic posts and advertisements.
The social media optimization (SMO) and social media marketing (SMM) approaches are two independent processes that work to increase social media branding; the former for creating an environment for social interaction and the latter, for better digital marketing.
