Eight virtual crypto cards were compared. Not based on marketing materials. Based on actual fees, real cashback terms, and how they behave in standard daily use.
The headline finding: most cards that advertise high cashback require you to lock tens of thousands in platform tokens. One card advertises 8 percent cashback and requires staking $50,000 worth of tokens for 12 months to unlock it. Most people will never see that rate.
Cards tested: Crypto.com, Coinbase, Nexo, Bybit, Wirex, MetaMask, Bleap, and Oppi Wallet.
Each card was scored on true fees under normal usage, cashback without locking conditions, setup speed, country support, and whether it is self-custody or custodial.
The results are in. Some popular cards ranked last. Some less-known ones ranked first. Data does not care about advertising budgets.
