Majority of the population thinks that health and wellness is about physical fitness, not being sick and having a fit body. To improve, they only work towards a proper diet and exercise. But health and wellness educators across the globe have a different of view of the issue. They believe it also deals with the emotional, social and mental aspects of a body. The pursuit is about achieving proper balance and the continued growth of the different elements.

Health and wellness can be subdivided into five parts, even though they may be interconnected, uniquely every segment of them serves to enhance the overall life quality. To remain “well” all of these parts have to be taken care of.

1- Physical

There are numerous ways in which a physical wellness coach can assist.

Exercising well: In the long run, daily exercising, in any form, will ease the maintenance of a healthy weight and provide improved flexibility, endurance, and strength for the bones and muscles.

Intellectual wellness is achieved when a person is able to solve problems, engage in creative thinking, and possesses an eagerness to learn and keep in touch with contemporary issues. A holistic health and wellness coach assist a person in recognizing their stimulating mental activities, and help them work on those activities to improve their intellectual wellness.

The mind is like any muscle, it also requires exercise. This stretches, stimulates, and locks in the mindfulness of the brain. A coach’s role is to determine what works best for them and recommend activities.
