Description:
The ground line of a PCB is created using a non-conductive material (or it is insulated). The material will typically be fiberglass and epoxy resin due to its stiff and rigid structure as well as its durability. These materials can be supported by ceramics which in turn improves the dielectric constants of the PCB. Thus, the materials of the substrate define the mechanical, thermal and chemical characteristics of the circuit board.
