Through the principle of conduction, PCB heat sinks work. From areas of high heat to areas of low heat or areas of high thermal resistance to areas of low thermal resistance, heat transfers in this principle. Both have low thermal resistance and excellent thermal conductivity as heat sinks are made of aluminum or copper. Thus from Printed Circuit Board components, the heat will move naturally to the heat sink.
