The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), Ministry of Family Health & Welfare, Government of India, provides the dispensation of FSSAI License.
As per FSS Act, 2006, Food business operators in the country should apply for fssai license registration.
The fssai registration procedure and requirements are supervised as per
the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Business) Regulations, 2011.
Each trader, manufacturer, and restaurant in the food business should have a 14-digit license number printed on their food products.
